How We Got Here
We first met in Cambridge, when Gonza was Bia’s orientation leader at the start of her master’s program at Harvard. Though we shared a class of just 18 students that semester, it wasn’t until a last-minute Friendsgiving dinner that we really connected. Something sparked for Bia right away, but Gonza was… well, just being Gonza. That night marked the start of a beautiful friendship, and with the support (and a bit of matchmaking) from our beloved friends, it slowly grew into something more.
We finally started dating during Gonza’s graduation week, just as he was preparing to leave Cambridge and return to Chile. The timing couldn’t have been worse, but neither of us wanted to let go. We found excuses to stay close — including a spontaneous trip to Puerto Rico that turned into an unexpected isolation week together due to COVID — and, against the odds, decided to give our relationship a real chance. Soon after, Gonza returned to Cambridge, and we moved in together.
We spent the next year in Cambridge until Bia finished her master’s, then moved to New York, back to “the real world”. There, we truly built our life as a couple, facing challenges, growing stronger, and becoming partners, family and best friends. We got engaged in the apartment that had become our home away from home.
A year later, work brought us to Chile. What started as a temporary stop turned into something deeper: a return to our roots and a chance to be closer to family and friends. We became Mr. & Ms. Cardoso Jara — and welcomed a new member to our little family: Sayu (imagine Bia in dog form).
After three intense years moving across countries, cities and apartments, navigating career shifts, and sharing unforgettable moments…here we are! This wedding is a celebration of everyone who has been part of our story: from those who pulled the strings in Cambridge to those who’ve supported us at every turn. We can’t wait to bring you all together for this reunion.
Your Journey to Chile
Getting to Chile
Fly to Santiago (SCL – Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport). This is Chile’s main international airport, located about 20–30 minutes from the city center.
Getting to your hotel: After picking up your bags, you’ll find several taxi counters before leaving the airport. We recommend taking Taxi Oficial. The ride to the hotels we suggested is usually around $30 USD. You can also book a transfer service in advance through Transvip.
Please note: Uber is not allowed for airport pickups or drop-offs, but you can use it to move around the city.
Getting to the wedding
The celebration will take place at Casas del Bosque Vineyard in Casablanca, about a 1-hour drive from Santiago. If you’re staying in Santiago, we recommend two options to get to the venue:
Rent a Car
You can rent a car either in the city or directly at the airport. This gives you flexibility to go and return the same day, or to stay overnight in Casablanca if you prefer. Please do not drink and drive.
Van Services
You can book a private van with our recommended provider:
Panda Transportes | +56 9 7808 8438 (WhatsApp – Loreto)
When you message them, mention that you’re attending Beatriz & Gonzalo’s Wedding — we’ve already arranged special rates for guests. Loreto speaks English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
Accommodations
There are two main options for where to stay during the wedding weekend:
1. Stay in Santiago
Santiago is about an hour from the wedding venue, and it’s a great choice if you want to explore the city before or after the celebration. You’ll find a wide range of hotels, restaurants, and activities — plus plenty of Airbnb options. We recommend looking for places in Las Condes, Providencia, or Vitacura — neighborhoods full of cafés, restaurants, and parks, all within the area marked on the map below.
Here are two hotel options we recommend, for which we’ve negotiated discounted rates:
NH Collection Plaza Santiago & NH Collection Casa Costanera | Make your reservation using this link.
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Santiago - Vitacura | Send an email to Alondra.Ardiles@hilton.com (Alondra) and mention you’re attending Beatriz & Gonzalo’s wedding.
There are plenty of other hotels nearby at different price points — feel free to pick the one that suits you best!
2. Stay in Casablanca
If you’d prefer to stay closer to the venue, you can spend the day or night in Casablanca, a small town about 10 minutes from the vineyard. It’s a quieter area with fewer accommodation options and limited infrastructure, but it’s perfect for those who want a more relaxed and local experience.
We recommend:
Casablanca doesn’t have much in the way of restaurants or nightlife, but it’s a charming wine valley and a convenient base if you'd rather skip the drive back to Santiago after the party.
A Note on Gifts
We know many of you are traveling from afar to celebrate with us, so your presence is the greatest gift (we mean it!). If you'd still like to send us something, you can do so through any of the options below.

Bienvenidos a Chile!
Santiago is Chile’s capital—and, in our (slightly biased) opinion, one of the most vibrant cities in Latin America!
We’ve gathered some of our favorite activities and restaurants to help you make the most of your stay. More than anything, we hope you take this opportunity to explore and enjoy a bit of the city we’re lucky to call home. And of course, if you need tips or have any questions, just reach out—we’re always happy to help!
